The public is encouraged to attend the annual Victim Tribute planned as part of National Crime Victims' Rights Week. The event will be held Tuesday, April 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th Street in Sarasota. The tribute is hosted by the Sarasota County Victim Advisory Council and is designed to honor victims of all types of crimes while also recognizing the strength of survivors. Several area agencies will be on hand to offer information on available community resources. The event concludes with a solemn candlelight vigil.
