(Riverside, CA) -- Riverside County Supervisors, who expect to slash more than 200 jobs from county payrolls next year to balance the budget, will soon consider a proposal to give raises to about 17-hundred upper-level employees. District Attorney Paul Zellerbach and Sheriff Stan Sniff want to give 15 percent raises to upper-level managers because those managers are making less than some of the people under them. The board voted to reconsider the raises after budget hearings next week.
