I posted this a bit less than a month ago after sending these requests as tweets.


A series of 9/11 Memorial requests and dedications that I directed to West Coast Powerhouse "eclectic" station---the "adventurous" KCRW.

I don't think they'll get played, or relayed, so enjoy them here.

The Bradley Manning support group turned me on to some of this music by sending me a CD when I sent away for their petitions/flyers/buttons/stickers package. The CD Peace Not War Vol. 2, Track 5, What Would You Do, is the second selection in the set.

Music had been dead to me for so many years and I was in such a deep depression when this CD reached me. I swear it made me alive again. In the same kind of way that learning what Brad Manning did made me feel alive again. I can't thank Bradley Manning enough for the music...but he is only one person, only one hero. There are so many heroes right now. Many of them speak out publicly on that 9/11 documentary even though speaking out on 9/11 has gotten many people dead. That is bravery, that is heroism, that is patriotism.
