There are serious things going on. Someone should do something! Ah but look....

Dr. Nadesan: I think in the U.S. the most insidious way that propaganda works is through distraction.

L. Moret: Yes.

Dr. Nadesan: So people aren’t paying attention, because they are so distracted by pop celebrity culture.

L. Moret: Yes.

Dr. Nadesan: And so the censorship simply goes un-remarked because so few people are paying attention at all, and this includes people who should be paying attention like medical doctors. I have had quite a few conversations with medical doctors who know really essentially nothing about the health effects of exposure to low levels of ionizing radiation, or any level of ionizing radiation, and wouldn’t be able to recognize the symptoms if they showed up in their office, and are clueless about the state of Fukushima. It is pervasive, this insidious culture of distraction. So that is one of the reasons I think that the U.S. media is more able, because people are not demanding to have more transparency.

Here's what happens when a little bit of the news actually gets out. Someone will hear it, say to herself "that needs attention!" And start to think.

But then she'll hear a whole bunch of reports saying everything's cool. And the result is the kind of head-hurtin' that shuts off thinking. And that will be that.

Dr. Nadesan: Well, oftentimes the way in which the propaganda strategy works is a report will come out that is full of alarming content in Japan today or one of the Japanese presses, and then it will be followed up by assertions from officials that essentially contradict the report but do not acknowledge it. So if you go back through the record, you see all these contradictions across the stories. And so the way to make a truthful report invisible is simply to have a subsequent barrage of messages that contradict it without ever acknowledging it.

L. Moret: Cognitive dissonance.

Dr. Nadesan: Yes, because the sheer cognitive dissonance presented by conflicting stories is going to cause audiences who want to believe that everything is fine anyway to accept the authority of the TEPCO or the government official---- (as opposed to believing) some scientist or engineer who leaked a few sentences about the true scope of the disaster.

I try to tell people about the things I'm finding out through the computer, but no one seems interested.

Talking to a friend from New York a few years ago on the phone, I asked her what she thought about the Building 7 controversy. She didn't know about it. I briefly described it to her, and she said, "Oh--well, there are people who like to think about those things...like who killed JFK..."

(Me, thinking: well, I'm one of those people...work in news..news isn't reporting it..find it interesting...all over the Net....one of those people???)

I said, probably testily, "Well, it is your town."

I wonder what she would say if I told her that some people believe (after a lot of analysis) that nuclear bombs were set off in her town.

Jim W. Dean commented on the VT article:

Mini nukes have been around for a long time. We learned a lot of the from the Russian, Dimitri Kazelov who worked in their division to analyze all major explosions to track evidence of mininukes so they would see how they were being used, and for what, and what the signatures were on them.

He was the guy that put us on to the signature temperatures of the three 9-11 buildings weeks after the incident, the infrared analysis showed molten granite underneath them. That is when we crossed over the river on how bad that situation was.

We began looking harder and finding more…like the 9-11 survivors groups had been infiltrated from day one to create all kinds of competing theories and infighting, a classic psy ops program to make sure anyone getting close to the real deal can be pounced on and discredited by the victims groups, always the best way to cut somebodies legs off.

The shopping center floor under the buildings was a bit dusty but you could have taken and shopping cart and looted all that you wanted. So the weight coming down…did not end up at the bottom as it would have crushed down through the shopping center. We actually see it being distributed as dust, so it was effectively vaporized. And as Gordon has mentioned many times only a fraction of the steel that was in the building was left to be carried away. Even the disposing of that quickly to Japan was to hide the amount.

And again, what Gordon caught…is that only one ship load I think went, which was a dead giveaway. That media took a pass on this sixth finger sticking out showed how in the bag they were at the time. The 4th estate abandoned the country…forever shame on them.

There's a gap between me and most other people I encounter. It grows wider by the day. On one side of it, it feels like I'm yelling ---Hey!! Stuff happening! Over here!! Hey hey hey hey hey, public health stuff! Anyone care? People getting sick. Anyone care?

And on the other, people like my New York friend (and lots of others) are saying "Hey, there's nothing we can do about any of this. So why worry yourself sick? There's nothing you can do!

Learn to love the helplessness!!!

Said Steve Taylor.
