These figures could be significantly reduced by using the correct child safety seat. Several deputies from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office have just been certified as Child Passenger Safety Technicians by All Children's Hospital and the Safe Kids Coalition. Now, they can help make sure your child is in a properly fitted safety or booster seat. Mark your calendar for August 11th and the Ready, Set, Grow Family Fair. In addition, we will recognize National Child Occupant Safety Week with a special seat-fitting event September 22nd. We will release more details soon, but save those dates!
