More local residents are coming to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office today to take a look at items recovered from Michael Sterlace following his burglary arrest last week. During an initial viewing on Friday, Sterlace was connected to five additional crimes after burglary victims identified their property among the more than one hundred items seized from him. This morning, more owners were able to find their stolen goods so even more charges are forthcoming. The Sarasota Police Department also solved one of their cases after victims of a burglary on Mimosa Drive claimed their property today. Citizens whose homes were burglarized in the past few months near McIntosh Road and Bahia Vista Street, Proctor and Swift roads near Riverwood Avenue, or Fruitville and McIntosh roads are encouraged to call Criminal Investigations at 941.861.4900.
